As you can see above, the movie was titled Billy Elliot. If you haven't seen it I would highly recommend it. It is about a boy who struggles with gender identity roles. He has been brought up by his father as a boxer and when the local dance studio is forced to share the same building, he falls in love with ballet dancing. As most typical fathers, he dad was very against the idea. Throughout the whole movie Billy is faced with many decisions about dance and his family. It was really an inspiring movie.
On our way back from dance class, me and Linnie stopped by Au Bon Pain. And got us some study snacks since we had to study for our math quiz at 5.
This was my tasty treat. It was some braided apple thingy. After I put it in the microwave for a few seconds it was very yummy!
This was Linnies treat. She said it was very yummy and the middle was her favorite part!
So after demolishing our study snacks... Linnie and I started studying. After about 45 minutes of figuring this math thing out we felt prepared enough to take our quiz.
The quiz was fairly easy and we both felt very confident in our scores :-)
We then and ate dinner at Salsaritas. Cara, one of our friends lost her room key, RU ID, Drivers License, Debit Card, ect. So while eating we tried to figure out a way to find her 'life'. We re-traced her steps and never found a trace of anything.
After coming back and changing clothes so I looked respectable enough, Linnie and I attended the Fall Dance Festival on campus. The dance department here has been working on a few routines since the beginning of the year and presented it to them the public. We watched four modern pieces, and then the ballet dancers did the snow scene from the Nutcracker.
This was sooo beautiful! It made me so envious of everyone on the stage, because that is my dream! It was such a great performance and I can't wait to watch the whole Nutcracker!
